Summer fun

We've been enjoying our summer so far and I thought I would post a few new pictures. Last week my little sis came up with her family, and we went to the zoo together. This was the first time I had been to Hogle zoo since I was a little kid (yes, I have been to others) and we had a fun time. The weather was PERFECT and overall it was a great day. I think my favorite part of the zoo was when we went to the monkey house (or whatever it's called). The orangutans were so much fun to watch, and this one would come up to the glass and just stare at the kids, wish I could have gotten a picture of it. They were literally just inches apart, and Coop LOVED it. I never realized just how round and flat their faces were. They are pretty amusing animals to watch.

Below is a picture of me and the boys with the giraffes in the background.
Here we are waiting for the bird show to start, which was pretty cool.
This past Saturday I had a little reunion with some of my roomies from Snow College. It was fun to see them (and their spouses) again after so long. It's crazy to think that it was 14 years ago this fall that we first met each other. I wish all the others could have made it (there were 10 of us in the house that year) but it was fun to see those that could make it. Now that I am living in Utah I want to get together with all the people that I haven't seen in so many years. Below left to right with maiden names is Becky (Fisher), Tara (Busenbark), Corrine (Lloyd), me, and Crystal (Lowe). Good times, good times.
Yesterday we had a pretty good father's day. For breakfast Matt wanted waffles with Devonshire cream, bacon and juice, so that's what he got. After breakfast we opened presents and he got a HUGE bag of M&M's, Heinz ketchup (his favorite which I rarely buy cause it's always more expensive) and an edger for the lawn/sidewalks. Matt has been off of sweets since Easter, so I made a little countdown chain and attached it to the M&M's and he gets to tear off one chain each night. For dinner he wanted ribs, mashed potatoes, jello salad, and rolls, so that's what we had. Since he doesn't eat sweets I wasn't able to make him a dessert, but overall I think it was a pretty good day for him. He got plenty of relaxing/reading time and hopefully he felt very loved.
I figured I should include a belly shot since I haven't posted any yet. This was taken last night, so I am 28 weeks along (6 months). It's hard to believe that in less than 3 months we will have another little one joining our family. Things with the pregnancy are going good right now. I'm not too uncomfortable yet and my energy level is still pretty good, although it is getting a little harder to bed over. We aren't finding out the gender, so it will be a surprise either way. I kind of feel like it's a boy, which makes me wonder if it's a girl since I felt like both of my boys were girls. I figure I will just borrow some girl clothes from my sister who had a baby a few months ago, and I will wash my boy ones, so we will just be prepared with whatever comes out. I will do the nursery later since the baby will be in my room the first month or two anyway.

Congrates! You look great. I'm 30 wks, and twice as big as you. We also went to Hogle Zoo last week, and I personally made good use of all the benches around the park. I also couldn't muster up the strength to go into the reptil house because of the smell.

I tried so hard to make it. I was receiving every mail, but the service is so bad I could not reply. Camp doesn't even let out until around noon on Saturday so even if I booked it out of there, I'd have not made it. I'm so sad! Glad you all had a great time though and were able to hug and love on each other. Maybe one in Aug?
