6 months old

Cooper turned 6 months old on Saturday! Where has the time gone? I thought it went fast the first time around with TJ, but it has flown even more so the second time around. I took Cooper to his well-baby check-up on Friday and he weighed in at a whopping 20 lbs 14 oz and was 28 1/2 inches tall, so that is 95th percentile for his weight and 97th percentile for his height. His head is only 50th percentile though, so that's where he and TJ differ. TJ's head was always off the charts until his 18 month appt where it finally came down to the 97th percentile. :-) We fed Cooper sweet potatoes (or sweet tomatoes according to TJ) for the first time on Saturday and he loved them. He has eaten cereal before this but he doesn't seem to be much of a fan of rice cereal. Once he got a bite or two of the sweet potatoes, he kept leaning forward to get them in his mouth a little quicker. He has been sick for the past two weeks so he's been a bit more ornery than normal, but this past weekend I finally felt like we were getting our happy-go-lucky little guy back. What a cutie he is!

I took this picture when he was sick. He wasn't sleeping much during the night (so neither was I) so he was a bit tired during the day. This was the first time he has fallen asleep in his high chair.

Buddies from the start

TJ is so cute with Cooper and is always giving him a hug or a kiss or making him laugh. Since Cooper started drinking from a bottle occasionally in the last month, TJ want's to take part in that too. Here is is feeding Cooper and looking so serious about the whole thing.
I love this picture. I had put Cooper on the floor to have tummy time and when I looked in there a little while later TJ was just laying by him with his arm around him - what cuties! By the way, after I got all these pictures up I realized TJ isn't wearing pants in any of them. I promise I actually do dress my children, but we are starting to potty train so we keep pants off sometimes so it's easier to get to the potty quicker. :-)
I actually took this picture today. No words really needed - just brothers who love each other.

TJ always wants to hold Cooper. If Cooper is being fussy when I am holding him, TJ will come and say "Mom, Cooper wants me. Come here, Coop" and he will try to take him from me. As long as he is sitting down then he can hold him. Yesterday when I was gone Cooper woke up and was screaming for about 20 minutes. Matthew had tried everything to calm him down to no avail, so finally he said "TJ, come make Cooper happy" and as soon as TJ started being silly for Cooper he cheered right up.
