3 weeks old today!

Eliza is three weeks old today! Boy, the time has flown. We took her for her 2 week check-up last week and she is doing great. She was born at 6 lb 12 oz but dropped down to 6 lb 5 oz in the hospital. Well, when I took her to her 2 week appointment, which is when doctor's expect them to be back up to their birth weight, she weighed in at 8 lbs, which is a whole pound a 4 oz more than her birth weight. The doctor said he didn't know if he had seen hardly any babies gain weight that fast, so he believed me when I said I produce straight cream. :-) She was also 21 inches long, so she's 2 inches longer than when she was born. I have a hard time believing that she grew a whole 2 inches in 2 weeks, maybe she was just not all the way stretched out at the hospital or something. Percentage wise she is 40th percentile for weight, 76th percentile for height and her head is in the 65th percentile. So she's my tall and skinny girl, and so dang cute at that (can you tell I'm so in love?). She's not sleeping great at night yet, but I think my body is adjusting to the lack of sleep since at least I don't feel like a zombie anymore, just really tired. She wakes up about every 2.5 hours to eat, but generally (though definitely not always) will go back to sleep after I feed her. The boys continue to adore her and I love to see them try and calm her down when she is crying. How were we blessed with such wonderful children???
