I thought it was pretty well known, but I still get people asking us if we are moving to Utah, so I thought I would put it up here and confirm that yes, we are Westward bound. Actually, Matt's been gone for almost 2 months and I stayed here to work on selling the condo. Things have been going fine for the most part, but we really miss being together as a family, so whether or not anything happens with the condo I will be heading west sometime in the next month (or two). My sister Michelle (and her hubby Nick) have been gracious enough to let us stay in their basement until we get the condo either sold or rented, so it will be great to be together again. Matt is working for a company called Extra Space Storage, where he is helping roll out Salesforce (a CRM tool) to about 1,400 users. He LOVES his job so far, so that's great. He started his job Jan 5th, so he's got a good taste for it. His job is in Salt Lake, and I have 3 siblings in Spanish Fork/Santaquin so we want to kind of be in between them, so we will probably buy somewhere in the Lehi/American Fork area, once we get rid of our condo. I also have a brother in Pleasant Grove so it will be great to be close to him.
It will be wonderful to be closer to most of my family, and some great friends, but it has really been with mixed emotions that we are making this move. I have been here in Chicago for 8 1/2 years so this has kind of become home as well. I have so many wonderful friends here, and Matt's family is here, as well as my sister Darla with her family,so we will miss them dearly. When I moved here back in August of 2000 I thought I would only be here for about a year or so, just to do something different, but the Lord had a different plan for me. I'm not quite sure I am ready for this chapter of my life to come to a close, but I guess it's time for a new adventure. Chicago (and all that it includes) - I will miss you!!!

Great news. I hope you move goes smooth. Good Luck with your condo. I am sorry for you mixed emotions. I know for sure that you are one who can make any situation work for you. You are too awesome!
Good luck! I now change is hard, even if it's welcome. We are glad to have you closer! Love you!
I am so glad that you are going to be closer - being back in touch with you makes me miss you even more. I can understand how difficult change can be though and hope your transition goes smoothly.
I am so excited. woo hoo!!
I understand the mixed emotions, I still miss ID and the people there, and it is a lot closer than Chicago. That being said, I am very glad you will be coming back to Utah so I can see you!
I still remember the first time I met you in the cultural hall of the Buffalo Grove building. We were sitting in a circle of chairs for an activity (I don't remember specifically what it was) and I just remember thinking "she is really cute and bubbly and fun and someone I would like to get to know." I think it took time for me to get the nerve up to talk to you, but I am so glad we did become friends. You are such a great person and I know you'll make the most of any situation you are in. I hope it will be easier for us to see you now, since we rarely get back to Chicago. Enjoy the new adventure!
You know me...I'll cry. But I know the Lord has other plans for us and our families. New chapter? Nah...new book more like it!
So, I am commenting on this blog instead of the above one because I am selfish and I want the homemade present, but I dont want to have to make 3 for other people. :o) Anyhoo, I can't believe how big Cooper is! He is so stinkin cute!! I miss you and can't wait to see you!
Wow finally leaving Chicagoland! Good luck to you in Utah. I can't believe that it has been that long since I first met you in Chicago. Maybe we will cross paths in Utah sometime. My sis live in American Fork and I think Brandon may end up settling there soon. Glad to hear Matt is loving his job. Good luck!
